Fashion For Freedom

A few years ago, I was introduced to the A21 Campaign.  The campaign stands for abolishing injustice in the 21st Century; specifically in human trafficking.  After hearing some of the victims' stories, it was hard for me not to do anything about it.  As I love planning events and have a passion for fashion, I thought what better way to raise money and awareness than through an innovative fashion show?!  Fashion For Freedom was born!

I am very excited to announce our Fashion For Freedom designers competing this spring in honour of this great cause.  Each designer is to create an avant-garde and a raw couture piece.  Here's the catch- NO FABRIC ALLOWED.  They are to create their designs using found objects; newspaper, garbage bags, fishnet, etc.  Our design team ranges from design graduates, to stay at home moms, to junior high students, but they all have something in common: a passion for design and a heart to help this great cause.  I now present our talented designers:

Alexis Marie Chute
Monica Prescott
Celeina Baird
Jenelle Jensen
Jessie Bosnak
Emily Madge
Erin Clemmer and Nicole Pytel
Melissa Kwasek
Kyla Porter
Larissa Boettcher
Cheryl Crabtree
Caitlin Kaiser
Tessa Stamp
Christa Hoefling
Kathleen MacDougall and Haley Blomquist
Paola Cantal
Katie Foisy
Chelsey Heagy
Donazon Perez Paredes

Designers, we are so excited to see what amazing creations you have in store for us.  For more information on this event, visit our Fashion For Freedom page on our website.
